A · SBC BCN

B · SBC INTERNACIONAL

Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and one of the most influents persons in the world according to Forbes, creates an international initiative in order to spread social business concept around the world. Moreover, it is emerging an international social business movement, involving people, organizations and societies from all around that want to promote social business as a key element to solve poverty and social needs.

From this global ecosystem, a new concept emerged as a way of solving social problems within one territory from a holistic and collaborative point of view: the Social Business Cities (SBCs). Many cities around the world, inspired by the former social business concept, are getting more and more interested in becoming SBCs and start tackling social needs by running this private-public partnership program.

Previous to Barcelona, Wiesbaden (Germany), Pistoia (Italy) and Fukukoa (Japan) became involved in the SBC initiative.
